The Audiologists

Trust your hearing to a Doctor of Audiology.

At HearAgain Balance and Hearing Clinics all hearing testing and hearing aid fittings are performed by an Audiologist who is registered by the College of Audiologists and Speech and Language Pathologists of Ontario. All of our audiologists have either attained or are in the process of completing a Doctor of Audiology degree. Audiologists have both the training and expertise to help people cope with the challenge of hearing loss. Book an appointment today at one of our three Niagara locations.

What is a Doctor of Audiology?

A doctor of audiology is a professional who is trained to determine the nature and the degree of hearing loss and/or balance disorders and then prescribes the appropriate therapy or device to suit the individual needs. Doctors of Audiology can either first receive a 7 or 8 year Master's degree, complete a year of clinical training and then go on to complete a Doctoral degree in Audiology or go directly into a Doctoral degree program after they complete their Bachelor of Science degree. Their academic and clinical training provides the foundation for patient management. Their professional training is completed during their internships, which typically last 12 to 24 months.
