Our Specialties

Industrial Hearing Loss

If you have worked in noise or are a Veteran we can help. We help initiate hearing loss claims and provide services to patients from the WSIB and Veterans Affairs Canada. We also provide services to those with coverage through private insurance and social services. Our friendly staff can help you with understanding your coverage, and what hearing services will best fit your needs.

An Audiologist will be able to tell you if you have a hearing loss due to noise exposure. If your hearing loss is due to noise and you were exposed to noise as part of your daily work activities, an audiologist can help you to initiate a noise induced hearing loss claim with the Workplace Saftety Insurance Board (WSIB). The WSIB will then assist you in the purchase of hearing aids and other devices to help you cope with your hearing loss. In some circumstances, you will receive financial compensation for your hearing loss.

Balance Problems & Vestibular Disorders

Vestibular disorders and balance disorders can cause dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, problems with hearing, nausea, fatigue, anxiety, and other symptoms. They can deeply affect a person's day-to-day functioning, ability to work, social relationships, and quality of life. HearAgain Balance and Hearing Clinics strive to increase public awareness about vestibular and balance disorders and to promote understanding, access to diagnosis and treatment, research, and help for those facing the challenges of living with a vestibular disorder.

Stefan Fridriksson received his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida and his clinical training from the American institute of Balance in Seminole Florida. He has many years of experience in evaluation and rehabilitation of vestibular and balance disorders. At the HearAgain Balance and Hearing Clinics, assessment of vestibular and balance disorders are completed using the most current methods and equipment. During the evaluation, a detailed questionnaire as well as electrophysiological and physical tests will be administered. It is essential that the reason for the disorder be identified prior to any therapy being initiated. For this reason, the evaluation appointment may be quite lengthy. After the evaluation, if therapy is recommended, a rehabilitation plan will be discussed with the patient and/or family members.
